8k trail run for sight
August 2nd, 2014 by Danny Boren
Taking on his third race in less than a month, Alan Trowhill upped the distance and increased the difficulty by entering his first ever 8k trail run. The route took racers through single track trails in the woods, across fields, and along gravel roads all located at the Third Battle of Winchester in Virginia. With 80 racers coming out for the event, which itself was a fundraising race for Multiple Sclerosis, it was a fun and challenging day. Alan clocked a time of 1 hour & 8 seconds, a good time for an off road race over challenging terrain!
Alan continues on his quest to raise money to End Blindness caused by Choroideremia, and is already looking forward to his first 10k event, scheduled for August 24th. Click Here to Support Alan as he continues to push himself through longer distances and more challenging events, all while raising awareness about CHM and funds for a cure.
